A newbies first two projects

Hi All, To demo what posts are all about here's a post about my first two cabochon projects made at the club. Many thanks to all who very patiently instructed me! The amethyst has no before piece in the picture but involved cutting, grinding, polishing and wrapping. This shape pretty closely followed the template. The green stone (green jasper or agate? I'll let you decide) started off by using a template but soon found it's way to becoming a more free form shape.
